French Fort Cove Nature Park French Fort Cove Nature Park offers lots of mountain hiking & walking trails and offers far more recreational possibilities like: skating & sliding. The Park also has a lookout, boat rentals, covered bridge, picnic & rest areas, playground, etc. Great hiking with beautiful scenery, most of hiking trails along a valley deep in the forest. |

Miramichi River Route There are also numerous walking tours and trails along the river. A 7.5km-foot trail from Chatham to Loggieville winds along the abandoned Colonial Rail Line, one of the area’s main forms of transport during the 19th century. The Aboriginal town of Metepenagiag (Red Bank First Nation), just outside of the City of Miramichi, is New Brunswick’s oldest town, with archaeological finds that date back more than 3000 years. |

Strawberry Marsh TrailA 2 km cleared trail with crushed rock surface begins just across the King George HWY. The trail runs along the Miramichi River through marshland abundant with waterfowl in a rolling sea of marsh grass. |
